Jongleurs receives two grants from ClubHouse and Happy Grant Hertfordshire to create Kids Comedy Camps this Summer.
Kev Orkian, CEO of Jongleurs Group Ltd, has set up two Summer camps for 8-15 year olds, learning how to do Stand-Up Comedy this July & August. The concept is to engage young students into public speaking, writing & performing jokes, and learning the mechanics of Stand-Up comedy by showcasing their routines to a live audience.
Quote Kev Orkian "I was totally blown away by the kindness I received from both ClubHouse and Happy Grant within days of one another. During an interview on one of the most attended rooms in Clubhouse, "The Winners Club", I was asked about projects I'm involved with. I mentioned the Kids Comedy Camp, and how I needed an additional £1500 to reach 30 under privileged kids to access this project. The team at Clubhouse were so generous, they announced it during my interview, within three hours we had surpassed the target by £200 allowing me to add a further 2 students to the course.
A few days later we received an email from Hertfordshires," Happy Grant" to fund another course in August, doing the same project.
This Comedy Camp is going to generate a new look at how we nurture stars of the future. It's going to reach kids who have no way to fund the opportunities we are offering and discover talented individuals for Comedy and performance.
